Which alloys

Hi id be looking to put 17s on the mk4 so what do you think of these options;
RS4's
Polished RS4's
BBS RC's
RS6's
or Santa Monica's
Reason being for 17s and not 18s is that i dont want anything to expensive to buy or have to buy tyres for in the future and for better ride comfort.

I know that I have said this before, but beware of dodgy laquer on Santa Mon's.
Check out the pic below of a set that i had, only 7 months old so VW gave me a refund on them.

And those are VW ones, imagine what replicas might be like.

Watch out though mate. Decent tyres still aint cheap on 17"s. I replaced all 4 tyres with Michelin 225/45/17's recently and it cost me over £400 (and that was on a buy 3 get 1 free offer!!!)

I know what you mean tyres are expensive no matter what size but you can get some 17s from £45 each but 18s are at least £68.
scott 1.8t are those 18s or 19s?

They're 18s mate. 225/40/18 Michelins, fortunately they're all nearly new. Not looking forward to changing them!
