Turbo Technics 16v kit
« on: 01 March 2006, 17:22 »
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what this kit is like? What sort of power did it make on the 16v kr engine and are there any mods internally like dropping the compression that are need. Is it purely a bolt on bit of kit and can it by toyed with, where does it make all the power in the rpm range?

Any advice?

Cheers

From what i knowof it its a basic bolt on kit, if your putting it on a standard KR you shouldnt need anything else other than the TT kit.
It runs only small amounts of boost so you shouldnt need to reduce the CR.
And you should see around 200 bhp on a standard KR

Cool, thanks for the info.

200 bhp  wow sounds great. I'm thining whip the head off and put a new set of rings in there and a new head gasket just to be safe.

I'd like to see a 16v mk2 with this kit on it up close. Anyone got one in the surrey area who's willing to meet up?

My golf has the original turbo technics kit on it with a few modifications, 8 fuel injectors, water injection, lowered compression ratio to name a few

Cheers
