Have i found the holy grail

I've been offered this corrado by a friend of a friend who was going to try and repair it, they've had it garaged for the last 7 years and it was mint before it was smacked in the side, its only done 49k miles has full vw service history - they want £500-£750

Seems a lot to pay for an engine donor but it is seriously low mileage

£500 - the valver engined raddos were never held in high regard as they were simply underpowered. Could easily make your money back from breaking various parts though.

If i buy it i'll be sticking the engine in my mk1 so it definately wont be underpowered

Hmmm, that makes it £400-£650 straight away, if i sold the seats etc...  its gonna be worth it

So I've just got to work out how to get it home, stipped & scrapped without getting the attention of those horrible bast&rds that trawl the streets looking for cars to scrap

Well I'd need the gearbox this weekend or I'll have to get one from elsewhere.

Either way that's the price they fetch on ebay...

You would easily get your money back if you stripped it of parts.  Raddo bits and bobs are proper expensive so it should all go if the price is right.

You could get well over £100 just for the interior and dash.
£40 a door etc.

well if you do buy it and you do strip it and its an early one, i'll have the dash! interiors go from £50 to £150 depending on condition, i think it'd be well worth the money to buy and break....
