You seem to have the problem in that your trying to pick flaws in what VR6 and myself say when by your own admission it is techinally correct.

I dont really care mate but I find it highly entertaining and if you spent as much time in your garage as you did online picking holes in correct statements made by ourselves then you might learn something.

there seems to be the problem with you two.

You seem to have been reading too many books and magazines to come up with your own information.

You resort to pedantry.

I know where the cams go in both motors coz I have built both motors - KR and A.

Technically what you said is correct -  but what I said is also TRUE.

Sidvalves were the old skool motors where valves were - unsurprising not above the cylinder but on the side wall.

Pushrod motors and ohc motors have OHV - overhead valves duh!

please if you can't find a real arguement 9or inaccuracy) please desist from your words of no consequence.

BY the way Mod - I never mean to 'try' anything with you or indeed anyone. I just take the piss and give good honest advice (based on what I have done) when I can.

VR6 just seems to have an inferiority complex - or his level of dry humour is way beyond my comprehension/.

No you are the one with the problem Slim, you quote nonsence arguments then get all upset when you are sussed out yet again. Lift your bonnet, look on the inlet manifold DOHC, that means DUAL OVERHEAD CAM.

Yet another classic schoolboy error. OHC motors are not called OHV. Lets simplify things for you slim :-

Valves at the top of the cylinder head = OHV
(Thats Overhead Valves)

Camshaft at the top of the head = OHC
(Thats Overhead Cam)

Hope that helps you understand  :-*

I'll go back to the "facts" and leave you to go read your latest edition of my first engine.

"Pushrod motors and OHV motors have overhead valves. overhead valves DUH"

You amuse me slim you really do. you have this habit of trying to be smart and then put your foot in it everytime.

Whilst VR6 was eating his farleys you were getting ideas from the packet.
