Power hood switch help
« on: 22 February 2006, 12:30 »
Hi there,

Just found the forum and have to say looks very good :)

I'm in the process of rebuilding a sportline and i'm nearly there just having a few probs with the power hood.  I can't seem to get the switch wired in correctly as i keep popping fuses.  The switch has 5 connectors on the rear, does anyone have a wiring diagram or know what colour wire goes to what pin?

thanks in advance :)

Welcome to the forum.

I guess I can always find out what mine are like. Does your sportline have leccy windows ? I dont think they do as standarsd as I was going to ask for a detailed list of the wires to the switches. How quick do you need to know about the leccy hood ?

Welcome to the forum... if you wait for Gibby to reply it will be 2007!!!! hehe

ok - you should have 5 connections

3 in one line nearest the switch and 2 in a line - back of switch

3 in line from looking over the front of the switch from left to right - red, blue, brown cables

2 in line from looking over the front of the switch from left to right - green, blue/grey cables

Hope this helps - how sad is that nothing the power hood wires off heart.... the joy of owning 2 cabs....!!!

Got a few things left to do like put the interior back in and get her re-painted as she's looking a little tatty but shouldn't be to long and i'll have the Golf on the road.  When it's all done i'll get some pics up :)

Thanks again for the help :)
