I think you will find it is just for the springs. I read in VW Driver  that a guy fitted the sports suspension upgrade (just the springs) to his Passat, which induced rolling and nausea for his passengers. The Gti shocks are of a different design to the 130 shocks (much firmer with less rebound). If you specify the sports suspension when ordering a non Gti new, you get the Gti shocks as well. If you buy the sports suspension as an aftermarket upgrade you just get the springs.

if your just plumping for springs id get some that are slightly lower than the vw ones, your car will handle and look far better and these springs are available at a cheaper cost than vw!!! :D

yep if youve got a large wedge to spend coil overs are the best option!!!, but its all down to money at the end of the day!! :D :D :D

That's why I got a mk2. Leaves me more money to chuck at it. I put some avo coilovers on mine about 2 weeks after I got it. I keep catching the front bumper on the drive now though, and I can't go in half the car parks in my town because of the slopes in them... b@stard things, just ain't car friendly. ::)
