floor mats for golf gti 180

hi im a new member and ive just taken delivery of my new(used) mk4golf gti 180 3dr in black with black leather and santa monica wheels, from my local vag dealer and its great ive changed from a focus tdci and its a little bit faster! my question is if any one can tell me is how do you take out the vag mats from the car as i cant work it out i know this makes me sound stupid but they seem fixed solid! im sure its very easy to do but if anyone can tell me i would be grateful thanks for listening       joe

aren't they a twist fitting??  :undecided:

you twist the little plastic bits i think.......have a go!! not entirely sure as im still waiting for mine!!

this is going to sound stupid but do you actually have mats in the car??

if you see the plastic bit sticking out of the floor and not level with anything then you haven't got mats!!

yes the mats are in they are brand new they were fitted buy the dealer as part of the deal the plastic is flush to the mats

Hi, If the plastic ring on the mat has a small round circle in the middle - just pull them upwards hard. If you have the twisty fixings (which you probably wont) then you, er twist the fixing.

New mats with the nipple :embarassed: fixing are quite tight. The worse thing that could happen is the plastic fixings come apart from the mat, but they just clip back in anyway.
