My 16v mk 2 hops like f**k when I come off the throttle at lower speeds.
Not good when your trying to impress some sort, with your wise choice in motoring.
Any ideas?

I had the same problem with a 205 GTi. It was down to blocked oil breather hoses (all totally stuffed). Change them for some new ones (brother worked at a pug garage at the time so I got them at cost - very reasonable) and the problem went away.
