Yo to All,

I'm av_guy and I have a Spanking new BMW M3... Oops, am I allowed to say this?  :shocked:

Actually, I have had
1 Mini 1000 - Used
3 Metro's (5 door - Used, 2 door - Used and then a lovely 1.1s - New)
1 MkII  1.4  - Used. GTI suspension, exhaust and a subtle drop.
1 Rover 214SLI 16v - Used
1 Honda Civic 1.6 VTec 130BHP - Used
1 MKIII 2.0 GTi 8v. New in Mystic Blue with a few options. Why was this called a GTi?
Contracting as a student for a well-known software firm, which is how I could buy these motors.

5 MKIV 1.8T all new and loaded (one was a 180BHP version) in Indigo Blue. Loved it to bits.
Adult working life allowed me to buy these babies.

Then I discovered BMW - all new and loaded: 328Ci, 330Ci Sport loaded, 325Ci Why oh why? Facelifted 330Ci Sport and now a new M3.
I wanted something a little different and boy, did I fall in love.

Why am I here? My parents want to leave the Benz brand and go back to the all reliable, well put together and rapid Golf GTi. Would love to be part of a community online, with enthusiastic peeps.

Welcome to the forum.  :smiley:

The mk5 GTI is supposed to be top notch on all accounts so would be a good buy. Check the mk5 section for more details and any issues that people have experienced.  :smiley:
