boot lock

i need to get a new boot lock so i can de-lock the rest of the car, when i bought the car it has always looked like someone has forced a screw driver in the boot lock and of course my key wont fit in the lock now, can i get a lock from vw so my key can unlock it, or will it have to be a new lock with a different key???

I believe that you should be able to use the same key .  When my glovebox lock broke, i had to buy a whole new door and when they did that i can still use the same key
