warning buzzer
« on: 16 November 2003, 14:30 »
Whist buzzing down the motor way today, I had a warning buzzer set off  on me  :o All of the readings were normal and there was no warning lights flashing. I slowed down and entered the hard shoulder, slowed down to about 50 and it stoped. I carried on down teh Motorway as normal and it didn't happen again. Checked the oil and water levels and they where all ok.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Get the oil pressure tested. Probably a faulty pressure switch.

If it wasa genuine low oil pressure, shouldn't the light have started flashing? (the light behaves normally). It hasn't done it since and most of my miles are on the motorways, so if it was an oil pressure problem, them I would expect it to always do it?

i'll get the garage to check it any way (either that or fit a new sensor)
