nowt wrong with the mk4 tin, ive got one, still has orig lines as the other models but more smoothed, reliable etc, got a mk2 also yeah cult classic car, but round here anything that has a golf gti badge has some kind of status, from the mk1 to the 4 and to be mk5, it all goes down to history and as long as its got gti it will be remember from the same family, bmw dont have any holds on vw yet!, mr nissan man!! lol

you are absolutely right, there is nothing wrong with the Mk4, or the BMW Mk5.
but the GTI thing is over, it died at the end of Mk2s. The Mk3 tried in vain to carry it on, but they just werent fun. They were bought by old people, who thought that they could be cool like the Mk2.
People who bought Mk1 and Mk2s were different, they were standing out from the crowd. When the Mk3 turned up, the crowd wanted to stand out. And thats what happened.
but as i said earlier, the GTI thing died. Even VW gave up on GTI and made a VR6 which set the top of the marque apart. And from there - the GTI badge was compromised.
Are you knocking NISSANMAN?

;D
