Me steering rack bushes (polybushes) are giving me a bit of bother going onto the rack, is it ok to use wd40 or something to help them on?

Sure it is. Your supposed to use the grease supplied anyway.

yep! WD40 or Back to Black or cheapo silicone spray (good deals at Brown Brothers if you can find them).

Any old grease will be better than wd40

use grease or copper slip, WD40 can eat rubber, so cant imagine it'll do the poly bhushes any good. WD will also evapourate away quicker,  and you need a coating of grease in the bushes to stop em squeeking :)

WD40 is actually very good for rubber. It is recommeded for use on rubber bushes, rubber door seals etc. A lovely versatile product.
