Intermittent alarm fault
« on: 31 January 2006, 23:01 »
I have an intermittent problem that only started this morning. The alarm i have is a conlog which was fitted by the dealers when the car was new(96)

The problem is that when i arm the alarm the siren signals that its armed but the doors dont lock, AND... the MFA wipes all the stats off including the clock!!!!!!!!!  I tried the total closure and it shut the windows and roof but didn't lock the doors??!!?!? As say, its intermittent and does it something like 4 out of 10 times if you get what i mean.

Its the MFA resetting itself that gets me

Any ideas folks?

Thanks, Stu

Hmmm , could be a dodgy earth or a itermittently shorting wire in the drivers door (thats where the central locking wire from the alarm has to go to ) .

Pull off the boot and have a look inside it .
