Any one else tried it or is it me gone bonkers?

it was even in the manual for my old clifford alarm...

it only works for radio ones, and i think it uses your body as an aerial..

with the clifford on my old car i was able to unlock it from the top of burrow mump by using the chin technique... (its like a mini glastonbury tor between here and um.. the real thing..) 250 feet high apparently..

i think thats taken from the car park edge.

the toad alarm i got with my new car is utter toss.. normal range is about 20ft :(

i tried this the other day, it improved the range of my fob from 10 feet (terrible), to about 40 yards.
