CARBON FIBRE MK3 GOLF PARTS
« on: 29 January 2006, 12:59 »
Hi there guy's

Yes i am virgin newbie to this site and this may not be the right or perfect place to be posting this and i would like to say i do not want to upset any of the moderators , its just that living in the uk as most here do i wanted to ask a larger audience of mk3 golf owners if they would be interested in buying various carbon fibre body parts for a great price ....and yes i'm to a mk3 owner tdi of course  .........i think anyway and these can also be made in grp/fibreglass for a 20% reduction in price...........but as my contact pointed out to me "the carbon price is so good you may as well have them done in carbon.

Another point you would ask would be how much are you making on this deal , well when you see the prices you will quickly see not much if any........just enough to cover any costs of shipping plus finders fee because this deal probably will not be repeated again and i just felt that its taken me so long to find someone with the sort of prices most people could may be aford.

This is a genuine deal and i think you guy's have a rolling road day at WELL LANE TURBO'S in batley west Yorkshire some time's , well i hav'nt seen him for some time now but i have 12 of superchips remaps/chips Barry put in for me and little billy owns the company.......if you ask Barry about a guy with a green mk3 tdi owned by a guy called stephen moses that would be me.

These are the parts and prices offered for mk3 golf's

1) Full Carbon bonnets twin skin good quality £250 + vat.
2) Full Carbon boot lid same       =        =     Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£250 + vat.
3) Full Carbon dash board          =        =     Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£299 + vat.
3) Full Carbon doors for 3 door models only   Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£299 + vat each.
4) Front radiator grill spoiler                         Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£140 + vat.

I'm not shaw yet but i may be able to obtain some proper motorsport gear changers/shifters like the cult society ones but better ( the real deals ).

There may also be some other charges to cover courier but this will depend on how many if any one desides to buy , you can contact me at partners e-mail lisa.longbottom@ntlworld.com where i live cheers.

Hi m8 ..........Well he's already told me that they don't do mk2 dash boards but the rest of the panels 'm not shaw , because i did ask him but only got that back as an answer so i'm still not 100%.........i'll put the question again though.

It would be good if he did cos i know there's probably more mk2 boy's who would be interested in this one , its just that these guy used to race the mk3 so went down all the development roots with the carbon parts for the mk3's.

Just for anyones information i'm in the West Yorkshire area Leeds.

Hi GTi3..........he asked me what i was using it for at first ( racing drag bling ex ) and i said it was for weight saving a bit of drag racing but not what you do which is rally driving , so he ses to me "so you want more for bling" and i said weight and bling "they've got to look good too" so he said that they will weigh around a kilo more in weight then at around 7kilo's........i take it GTi3 this is because of the epoxy resin.
The ones this guy uses are about 4 kilo's single skined for rallying.

The rear door i'm going to spray anyway but its only a case of asking how good a Finnish and for what purpose , tell me GTi3 how much would you charge or would it be for a carbon mk3 dash board and a door ? I've ordered a bonnet and rear door just to test the water................and get this guy's he does the mk2 bonnets and rear door as well haven't yet confirmed the prices but even if its the same as the mk3 ones its still cheap.

He tells me these are all trade prices which i'm only passing on to everyone else plus a little finders fee but as you can see its still not bad money.

I know how bad eBay can be so if anyone wants to come along to my place to check me out ex and for her indoors to cook a meal have a bear that sort of thing your more than welcome , just so you know i'm not leaving town.....................with all the baggage i have it would take me a year to pack .........unlike Robert DeNiro in Heat.

If you could pread the word GTi3 that would be nice because this site seams to be a bit on the quiet side to me.

Regards,
Steve.

hi mate all sounds pretty reasonable if ya wanting cosmetic finish polyester is usually the way but its not as strong and effective regards to weight etc but epoxy is strong light and ya can get a good finish but its better to get it laquered.
we made a bonnet for a crx for some guy and my boss was charging 500quid a piece..
which i think is pretty expensive.

yu wanna get some pics sorted it will create a bit more interest this stuff will sell.
i know cos i make motorbike parts to sell.. mudguards etc

do you have pictures of these products?

are they completely carbon fibre or just standard ones covered for the look?

all smiles do bonnets for £500 and doors for £1000 (each!) so your prices do seem very cheap...

Yes they are full carbon fibre parts and yes i agree when i have received the bonnet and boot lid from my contact i will take pictures of them and have someone Host them for me because i'm not good at that sort of thing , and if the parts are not up to scratch i WON'T be selling them ( no wool over people's eyes here ) i can assure you.

I'm taking the pictures because my man tell's me that the ones he has are from rally cars and were all painted and have been damaged in one way or another and then repaired again , i've been talking to some of the big boy's one in particular but i'm not shaw i want to go down this root...........it was an idea in which to have a bigger audience and sell them from someone who has a good rep................keep in mind this has snow balled in the last few day's and i think i would rather make these product available to the Mr average like myself and not make them unattainable and pipe dreams but affordable items.

So if they are up to scratch in the quality and fitment department and you like what you see and the prices fall with in your budget post your name tel number or email address or any form of contact details and state which body part you would like to buy some time in the near future , depending on what sort of response i get back from people determines which body parts and new moulds will be made and if there going to be justifiable this may also alter to some degree the final prices althou they won't be any higher..................this is mainly in reference to the doors, dashboards, and wings, boot lids of the mk2's
  RESPONCE ORDER FOR REFFERANCE ONLY

Name
Contact details

Parts and vehicle model

1) mk3 carbon bonnet x1
2) mk3 Carbon dashboard x1
3) mk2 carbon front wings x1 pair
4) mk2 carbon doors x1 pair

you get the picture.
