Golf Mk2 & maystar s20-20 alarm.. help

Ok I have a maystar s20-20 alarm apparently fitted to my car, but all i can seem to find is the bit where the sound for the alarm comes out. It doesn't seem to be wired to anything, and I dont know how it works! Can anyone please help me!! I dont have a key fob for it, no central locking.. is it an alarm? is it an immobiliser?? is it a piece of poop that needs ripping out???

if it doesn't work its probably been disconnected and if you havent got the key fob or whatever to arm/disarm it then it might as well be ripped out..... and by ripped out i mean carefully un wired from important things!  the box of tricks that contains all the electric stuff is normally hidden behing the centre console or up behind the dash near the glove box.....

yeah I kinda thought that... now do I tell the insurance company that I do  have an alarm in the car (cough cough)??

Well you do have an alarm in the car. Just dont tell them its not connected!
