do you think i can find a lambda sensor for my car???

well the answer is no, Ive been searching everywhere!!! but not unless I wanna part with £105 from the stealer's!!!

German, Swedish and French carparts have them up for £50, bargain i thought, so i ring up my local branch (thurrock) and give them the details, guy on the phone goes

"sorry we don't have any in stock"

so i asked if they could order me one, and the guy said
"no, iam sorry i cant order you one iam afraid"
so i was like well "when are any more coming in stock?" and he goes
"oh i don't know, we haven't sold any in over a year so i don't know if any more will be coming in!!!"

then he goes but the price your looking at is £45 before VAT, iam thinking well thanks for rubbing salt in the wound mate!

any way gods knows why they wont order me the part, ain't my money good enough!! GRR

anyway if any one knows where i can get a lambda sensor (before cat) for my poorly 1999 2.0 litre APK engine i would be most gratefull..

yeah and that didn't include the £80 for new fronts either  so all in all with the MOT test its about £260

off to see a GT TDI tomorrow though

understand your point about paying over the odds for a part you can get cheaper

go and ask if you can pay them back at £5 a week or something  use your charm

I'll make you all feel better then, I had mine MOT'd a couple of weeks ago, I had a full service too and that came to the princely sum of £130 (including £42 for MOT), I bought my service bits and bobs for about £25 so all in all £155 for an MOT and a full service. Not bad I hear you say, but they also said that they shouldn't have passed it as the fuel tank was starting to seep (sp?) through on the weld half way up, as I'm a fussy get I wanted this sorting out asap so I got a new fuel tank and new filler neck (thought I may as well do that while I'm at it as it was rusty and an age old mk1 problem) from ECP for £220, I had it all fitted this week and that cost me £220 to have it fitted, apparently they had to drop the back axle to get the old tank out. So all in all, nearly £600 to get it all done.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot, and to top it all off, when I was putting the tank in my car to take to the garage, I scratched my back quarted panel with it ! All in all a pretty sh1te couple of weeks.  On the bright side, it's now a good excuse to stick it in the garage to have the bits of bodywork on it done that really p1ss me off.

As for your problem Sugar, ring this guy up, I got his number the other week and he sorted some bits for my cab, he's no where near me as he's in Leighton Buzzard, but he will deliver, he seemed a busy, but sound guy when I spoke to him. Anyway, worth a try on 01525 210978.
......now officially dubless.
