Help
« on: 21 January 2006, 19:37 »
Me pump for me washers is only workin for the front and not for the back. It pumps water through the front ones but not for the back. You can hear it workin but no water reaches the back. Thre is no blockages in the pipes that i can see. Does this mean me pump is knackerd?

Thanx
Laura

Have you checked the rear hose is attached to the washer jet? This happened to me, soaked boot carpet was the major giveaway!

Did you check that the hose is connected in the boot as well? Theres a few places it joins. one is obviously the pump.. and theres another in the same area. Also, remove the rubber bit between boot and car, and see the hose is intact. Might have broken where the boot has been opened many times?

Have you checked behind the boot carpet on the driver side?  If it checks out there, nip to halfords and buy a 1 way valve.  splive it into the pipe in the engine bay and it will make the rear washer 'instant squirt'
