Main problem, all of the timing was shafted, it was so retarded that it was igniting when the piston was at the bottom of its stroke and about to come up to the top of the cylinder head again. We had to iron out a few other problems whilst we were there too but she goes at least so all that is required now is a full set up at a garage, and away i will be going.  :smiley:

Mainly extreem lack of money and lack of enthusiasm to do anything about it. Spunked £200 quid odd on an entirely new ignition system for it and still nothing so just left it till such time as i could be bothered to spend time working on it, fortunately that time was yesterday, and kazamm she started.  :evil:

I know how u feel mate, i threw loads of money at my first valver but to no such luck but recently got the scirocco running (very rough but at least it runs)

 good to hear the beast will slay VR's once more!!
