**Whats A Good Insurance Co??**

Hey peeps, ive been looking foward all year to getting my 1years NCB, i got my renewel quote through today with my 1years NCB and it works out about £5 cheaper than when i had 0 NCB, stupid, it now costs £970 tpft on my Golf 16v, im 19years old,1yrsNCB,and no offences, does anybody know a cheaper place, i would be very grateful,

Just shop around, try confused.co.uk or Brentacre, the latter specialise in young drivers and Mods and the guys there abelong to club GTi

check the insurance comparison thread in this section, see what others are paying and who they're with....you could almost say thats why the thread was set up?! :rolleyes: ;)

That sounds cheap to me  :laugh:

Im 18 and im looking at having to fork out about £300 more than that just to get a 1litre polo insured - and thats with elephant!

sh1t guys thats loads....thats why i got my mini when i was 18 cos it was the cheapest to insure. An now its my summer project!
Try martinb on here, he sorted me out was a damn sight cheaper than anyone else -
im 22, 3 years ncb, driving for 4 years, 3 points(SP50) drive an 8v an its £391 paid in full

hows yours so cheap? iv got quotes of 1100quid from elephant for an 8v at 19, with one minor accidnet and one sp30

and it was 1600 for a 16v, thats with no NCB

Sellers, if both your parents have high no claims bonus' add them as 2nd and 3rd named drivers it can drop you by a few hundred quid.

but on elephant it doesnt give u the option for NCB for a second driver

is what im paying cheap then? ive got both my parents on there,with full ncb ones a full time teacher and others civil service, i do 10000miles a year tpft sd+p. was qioted 1300 on the net but phoned them up and they gave me it bout 400quid cheaper, :grin: defiantly worth ringin instead of doing it online, i have no points and live in a very low crime area too,"

From what i've found your not gonna get it any cheaper than that! I'm looking at around £800 with bell (owned by admiral/elephant) on an 8v mk2 gti with 1 years ncb at 19, and about 12-1300 for a valver, both in my name with parents as named drivers. What did you say when you phoned up then to get it cheaper???

Stupid thing is, it will be £900tpf&t for my sister when she passes her test being 17 years old with no ncb (obviously!) on an 8v gti! Life ain't fair!!!
