A tip for mk2 golf owners
« on: 12 November 2003, 22:26 »
The usual horrible winters here and some people maybe suffering from damp problems - just a tip for you - do not soak your ht system (spark plugs, leads etc) with wd40, this is a temporary measure and after time the wd40 breaks down the rubber on spark leads etc.  the remedy is to use duck oil - I am a marine engineer and always fully coat all engines with this stuff and the engines look like new and last ,ive even flipped a few boats and fully submersed engines and they have always come off ok - most off you probably already know this but i thought I would try and help anyway!

you can get duck oil from partco (because i work for them and you should have a local store near you as they are national)and  it be cheaper to get it from partco or any other motor factors than from  halfords ;D
