These should help:
Pretty sure pipe labled as 'C' with the gearshift indicator isn't present on your model, and the tube labled as going to the fuel consumption gauge is either blanked off or missing altogether :)

Red circle is where the airbox feed goes to :)

right im getting it soon so i have a few questions so that im ready,

1, wheres the fuel consuption gauge?
2,wheres the non return valve?
3,my mechanic set my weber off and blocked off two places where things used to go too, they both went to a big thick pipe thing to the right of my engine(when looking in), what were they for?
4,the  diagram says the hose of the distrbuter goes to the air conditioner, wheres that?
5, is the big thick pipe i was on about anything o do with the break servo

as you can probably tell, i know nothing about engines

1. You probably wont have one like I said, but if you did the pipe would run to the back of the clocks, its for the MFA on GTIs or on some theres an extra gauge with an upshift light and mpg needle :)
2. its the black & white thing on the vacuum pipe coming off the brake servo pipe
3. The big black pipe is the brake servo pipe, see above ;)
4. You don't have air conditioning so its not there ;)
5. Yes :)

ok nice one, ok just to clear up,
1, where does the hose coming off my distributer go?
2, what goes into the two places for hoses on the brake servo pipe?
3, in the diagram a hose comes off the vacume resavoir(which i assume is the legendary"green thing") it splits into two , one goes to the non-return valve, where does the other one go?

1. It goes to one of the take off pipes on the thick brake servo pipe
2. See 1. for one of the 2 pipes, the other goes to the long pipe that goes to the green thing and the pull down unit :)
3. See 2. :)

ok the two things on the brake servo pipe, so one is the hoes from the distributer and the other goes to the non-return valve and then the vacume resevoir? does it matter which way round they go? i think the distributer goes into the bottom one but i want to be sure, again your like a fountain of knowledge, thankyou for the help

Doesn't matter afaik, but if you want to know how it was from t' factory:

Oh and heres a pic of how the hoses to the pulldown unit go, bottom one goes on the front of the carb & top one goes to a y splitter to the green thing and the servo connection above:
