Have you ever been pulled for.......

Well i quite fancy some of them German look plates from Dubmeister and i just wondered if anyone had any experience of using them on a day to day basis.
I know strictly speaking they are not for road use but have you been pulled? Were they angry?  :grin: Shall i just keep my other plates in the boot and say i left them on by accident?

Also what about 100watt bulbs, again not strictly legal, but has anyone been pulled for using them? How noticable is the difference from standard bulbs?

dunno about the plates. the bulbs are like normal modern day headlight only two fractions brighter. when you use them with an uprated headlight loom they are erxcellent. I've never been stopped by the pigs for my head lights

As with everything, this is all at the persons discretion who pulls you...

can always try and plead about the plates, round here if u can change them, on the spot they can  be ok, but i have friends who have been pulled for non legal plates and different things have happened even though they could and did change  plates back on the spot!

according to the latest edition of golf+ they are about to become very illegal, to the point where you will not be aloud to use them at shows either!!!

I never got pulled for german plates. I never got pulled for not running a front one at all for that matter... :D

Thats cos the pigs only ever see that your front one is missing when you pass them at break neck speeds. By the time they have thrown a U turn your a mere spek on the horizon.  :grin:

Someone once said to me that you can register your car to be german and then they won't be illegal as I have a set waiting to go on.

I don't know anything about it, anyone else know anything? Does it cost anything? Make your insurance go up?
