I think the number plate will make a serious difference to the look of the front end - i'm sure some people here have links to online places that supply number plates (i'd stick with something simple, too flashy gets you pulled...)
I think the most important difference with the car is that the heater works. Someone *forgot* to tell me that it had no heater, i did find out though when i drove it two hours to the workshop....
