hope someone can shed some light on a problem i have with a bargain i have just bought.
I have just bought a H-reg 1.3 CL coupe polo for a bargain price of . . . £50
The car is mint and the interior is very clean although . . . .
the gearbox doesnt seem to get any gears at all. it feels like a mixing bowl. is this a problem with the gearbox or lnkage. I only got the keys last night so could not see a great deal. It looks like the gear shift rod goes in to the gearbox rather than attch via a linkage on a golf gearbox.
Any pointers or help very much appreciated.
(Dont worry i dont mind getting my hands caked in oil and i am quite technically minded i have just finished doing a 16v conversion on my mk2 golf)
