Petrol Smell
« on: 09 November 2003, 11:08 »
On a cold night I could smell petrol from the heater. I got out and didnt even open the bonnet and i could smell the petrol from the drivers side area on the top of the bonnet.

I was told that MK2 petrol hoses in the engine can get brittle when they get frozen and start to break causing the smell?

What do you guys think is wrong and how could it be fixed? :-\

Check all your fuel lines, start the engine, the leak should be quite visible. I assume yours is a digifant, as this has a fuel rail, and probably 2 rubber hoses connecting to it. These are the most likely culprits.
