TSR Engineering

Right,

after owning the valver for the grand total of 12 weeks, i sense all is not well in the go dept..... much kangarooing, rev hunting, stalling, knocking etc.

So, despite knowing i should be checking the ISV, WUR, CSV ....and a host of other acronyms i don't understand! i have decided to give the girl a late christmas present with a trip to TSR.

After a short phone call, i found myself booking a pack A head, kent cams, followers, vernier pulley, 4 branch manifold, stainless exhaust etc, etc......

My question is, what bhp should i expecting from the upgrades?

Also, has anyone dealt with TSR before? Any feedback appreciated.

A.

They're a good bunch - I've not bought a lot from them recently, certainly since Tim left (he's the TS in TSR) but the new owner Neal is a good lad...

AFAIK they don't give you any bull, if it needs doing, they'll tell you...

HTH

hiya mate you might want to have a chat wit GTI-Schmo on here, he has had a tsr engine change i THINK!!??? 1.8 8 v with cams etc 2l block, at the WRC rolling road day last month he produced 120bhp from it,the guys at wrc said its coz its only done 2000miles and they loosen up as they get older,i think he got a chip for it aswell to sort out all the fuelling, its got a real mean sound to it though, with the cams in it runs really lumpy on tickover sounds gud!

my brother had a load of work done on his old Audi 90 quattro back in 1997 when Tim Stiles was there I think. He did'nt have any trouble with it, and it was stonking round a wet Castle Coombe on a VW/Audi day....Vivid memories of a Mk2 shooting past on a fast right hander, he touched the grass and spun about 4 times in front of us....brilliant.

as far as i know, joes 8v was not done by tsr, he has sourced a few bits from them but not had any major work carriued out by them. The ECU was from tesh and GStar Dubworld.

They are a good company but i would only want a 8v off them not a 16v.
