My 2001 4motion 2.8 with konis all round recently fitted has developed a suspension squeak. It seems to be worse in the cold weather which is understandable I guess as cold stiffens the suspension rubbers.
It seemed particularly bad today during my battle the sales traffic. What It feels like there is some slight 'backward and forward' rather than 'up and down' play in the front left somewhere, could be wrong of course. I've no idea what to check as I cant find a Haynes manual for this car. I don't think its the new konis as when I force the car down at each corner myself I hear nothing. My main concern is that if I leave it to get worse any play in the one part of the suspension linkages will put excessive stress on other components.
If anybody knows of a common fault with this car or could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Also does anybody know of a tech manual for the 4motion?
