Hello & welcome!  :santa:

What year/ reg & colour is it, mate?

Most common problems are; the plastic clips break on the window regulators, the MAF sensor might go up the spout, the diverter valve splits inside & the pipe comes off the rear wash pipe.

All of the above will be covered by a VW warranty, though. (If that's what you've got?)

Hello,

Its a 2001 black 3 door. I got it from the VW dealer so I assume its a VW warranty! Ill ask on pick up though.

Im currently searching for iunsurance, i was give 7 days free with norwich union, but they wont insure under 25's on this car! so looks like im gonna have to go with admiral... got quoted £789 fully comp. 22 with 3 years NCB... almost 4 but I dont know if zurich will give me the 9months ive earnt with them to tranfer over to admiral.

Ill ask the dealer about the mass air flow sensor when i pick it up. and im currently looking at ordering a few choice componants... whats this about the diverter valve splitting..? Im not a huge fan of the dump valve sound, so can anyone recommend a nice subtle valve... not toally silent coz its nice to have some sound, but not so it blows hats off old ladies!

ta fellas... look forward to being on here more often

Very easy. 3 clips that's all. Forge is the one I went for.

Can only hear it with the radio off, as it's a re-circulation dump valve (diverter valve) & not your bog standard boy racer, rs fiesta bad-boy dump valve.... tttttcccccsssshhhhhh!!!!
