which gearbox???

hi ive got a mk3 8v and i dont like the way the gears are setup, was wondering if anyone has changed there gearbox and what to??

i just find the gears too short, just as power kicks in gearbox runs out of forward motion.

i heard the 16v`s gearbox has built in lsd is this right? and is it better?

it's not the gearbox that runs out of forward motion, it's the engine.  power drops off from about 4500 on 8v's. i know , i got one. last few cars i had were 16v and reved like mofo's. personally i prefer the grunt down low where it's more use more of the time.

mine still has power and revs well just seems to run out of drive. only gear it lacks power is 5th.
