does anyone know if these will fit a golf?
i belive they are used to tune beetles and old porsches, other than that i cant find any other info. ???

You could, but you would end up with the carbs poking up through the bonnet  :o. They are designed to be mounted verticaly and what you want are horizontaly mounted carbs. These are DCOE's and you can get them in 40's, 45's, 48's or 50's (40's for a std tuned golf, 45 for a wilder golf, 48's are a bit big even for a full race 16v). a new set if 40's with manifold and linkages is about ?700 new from big boys toys but you canpick them up 2nd hand for about ?250 - 300.

I did actually buy these by post as dellorto DCOE 40's, but after a month of chasing the tosser, these arrived!
Rip off merchant!

mind you, I think the air cooled boys will pay a fair price for them, might be worth putting them up for sale in Volksworld or on Ebay and see if you can get your money back that way.

I think i should get back what i paid, the guy told me they came off his Golf???!!!!
Must have been a rear engined beetle type golf drag racer! ;D
