To de-badge or not to de-badge ?
« on: 20 December 2005, 15:28 »
So after alot of heckling i put my hand in my pocket and bought a set of eibach lowering springs which make the car look fantastic. Now i'm thinking about de-badging it but i think there may be holes underneath the rear golf gti badge. Are there ? and what do you lot think on this subject anyway ?

Once i get up to speed with this new computer technology i'll post a couple of pictures for you. The car looks great but not quite as good as yours....is this golf envy ? As for the lowering question the eibach's drop it 50mm at the front and 35mm at the back. Not as low as some but at least my teeth dont rattle every time i go over a bump !

i think you misunderstood me mate, i meant the gti badge underneath the rear right light cluster. My mate has got a mk2 (shame ! ha ha) and that had a couple of holes under the badge which led to filler and paint.

  • If in doubt, pay someone else to do it!

get it done, de-badged all the way, all Iv done with the vw badge is stuck a wolfsberg edition badge over it. Confuses the hell out of ppl coz they know its a mk3 golf but bont believe their eyes. Keep havin people come up to me and ask if its a limeted edition or where they can get one.

get a de-badged grill of sorts too, one like hardcore's is popular or mine is a little different. sorry if the pic is huge but its the best 1 i could find with the gril on.

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..
