go round the engine bay with cable ties and convoluted tubing etc grouping things together. take as much off as you dare and clean it all and paint it. route all cables, etc behind stuff. get some coloured or at least clean black vacuum hoses. when i did mine i routed all the wiring loom through the chassis legs and then just hid as much as i could.....

PMSL, just take the leads off alltogether, nice thats 1 way of tidying it up.....

how tidy you want your engine bay all depends on how deep your pockets are... but if you could find maybe £400 you could tidy the whole lot up nicely and net yourself a useful performance gain by sticking a pair of webers in there and losing all that messy K-jet stuff?!

...or perhaps cheaper, get a pot of TFR and carefully clean all that you can, get the radiator surround and cambelt cover powder coated (try swanick gritblast if you live near hampshire - they were really good with my wheels), a new rocker cover (or a mk3 item and polish it), some fancy coloured HT leads with some clips and a Allsmiles header tank, then relocate your washer bottle to the boot maybe and add a strut brace.

yes indeed! i got a bailey one and it weighs less than the plastic one i took off and is a top quality bit of kit. no offence to all smiles but some of their stuff is seriously poor quality and over priced, other stuff is pretty cool..

cover all electrics with a plastic bag. Drive down your local jet wash. spray on engine de-greaser and then blast it one

Then spray that rusted radiator housing black. sorted :smug:
