Swapping in passenger seat to the drivers seat.
« on: 17 December 2005, 14:18 »
Seats.

Ok, the old banger I bought recently has the same cloth seats as mine, so I was thinking I could use the passenger seat to replace the driver seat in my god car. Problem is the seat belt mount for the passenger seat is of course on the wrong side.
How do I get around this?

I think the seat belt mount can be fitted to either side. If not, just swap the subframes over from the worn seat :)

What subframe? the mounts seem to be part of the structure os the seat!

Also the seat belt mount plate seems to be spot welded to the frame.

to do it properly you have to sort of strip the seat down and swap the foam base. its pretty straightforward to do.....
