I have P6000's - nice and cheap from Bracknell Tyres 35 pound a corner balanced and fitted  ;D

(I went back last month for a spare - and they'd put them up to 45 the b?st?rds
Bracknell Tyres 01344 411323

I had Avon ZV1's before - which I thought were spot on - I saw contradicting reviews - but I had no problem (and I drive a wee bit enthusiastically) ;D

My mates have warned to stay away from Toyo's as they are like a cheaper version of Yoko's - but don't last as long !!!!! (You know what I mean  :o)

Tyres are one of those things that sometimes it's better to find out for yourself what is right for you and your driving style -

I see mytyres sell them now. Didnt see them before, but luckily only paid slightly more for 205/50/15. I see some posts about Toyos not lasting too long, but obviously that is dependent on your driving style. i managed about 15-16k out of the fronts through a mixture of driving, which I didnt think was that bad. I would agree that it would be worth trying some tyres and making your own mind up, as not everyone has the same experience with tyres. Personally speaking I have not had any probs with the Toyos and will continue to get them next time.

just to stick my two penneth in, when the standard fit Michellin's ran out on mine, I went to see my buddy who owns a tyre and exhaust centre.

He fitted Pirelli P6000's on mine, as he said they were ideally suited to my motor. I trust him with stuff like that, because that's what he does for a living!! they weren't expensive for 16" (less than ?100 a corner I think) so he wasn't selling them to make any money out of me!

They have loads of grip, are quiet and very good in the wet - I will have them again when this set goes the way of the Michellins.

BTW, the misses has GY Eagle F1's on her bimmer compact - I really haven't been all that impressed with them - the first time it rained after she got it, I took it out and it was all over the place (not that I was complaining at the time, I was too busy opposite-locking round roundabouts!!)

The greatest leveller of them all - the Carousel

.......convinced because my Mrs drove to and from work (50m) on a flat F1 without realising, it really did feel like the tracking was out a bit.
