Got my car back fro Dubsport and.....

There was a LOUD CLUNKING noise    Stpped the car, had to phone the RAC as I thought I might do some damage & found out that my front bumper bolts or the bumper Irons are strpped as two of them are freely spinning   

The front bumper is easy to move, so in total my car moved 4 miles 

P.S you can feel the power wanting to escape

I had a 2.0L bottom end & PAS added, I wonder if the bumper bolts where used with a air gun??

Sounds good, should be alot more lively now. Have too get her on a Rolling Road. Nice one!

I doubt it will be going near a rolling road soon as the motor sounded a tad fecked when the front bumper gave way

Have you called them to see if they will sort it for you?
If not, then do so pronto.

Does anyone actually get a decent service from any of these so called "VW specialists"  That's just unprofessional and should have been found on a road test, it doesn't instill much confidence if they cant even get the bumper bolted in right. 

I'm sure the rest of it will be great and has been done well, but little things like this can ruin a reputation in minutes. Get onto them as j_s says pretty sharpish.

Gibby, from reading all these stories about the various "specialist" Dub garages etc it really is worrying. They supposedly know these cars like the back of their hand so how can they screw up? I'm trying to pick out somewhere at the moment to look at my starting and idle issues as me and Rubjonny have almost exhausted all avenues as to what it could be and it frightens me what could end up happening to my car

They are on route to my house at the moment to fix the problem yyeee haarrr

There is a spot on Dub guy in Southport that I have used for such issues as running rich/timing etc

He doesn't do engine conversions though, got his number if you want it, you have to book your car in though as he's always busy

I've been to loads of so called VW specialist and I'm still not happy to take my car to any of them except C&R Enterprises, thus why I do all my cars myself now - it takes a bit longer but at least I know the job is done correct and if it goes wrong its my own fault.
