definatly, packed them with as much grease as possible, what a meesy job it was.

I think i've found the noise, i took the caps of the suspension top mounts, and i can hear the clicking, there is also a bit of movement, so i'll get on to that wen i get sum spare time

You must not have standard suspension as it makes that 'click'  noise?

Happend to me when i put on coilovers. Only cured it last week after 5 months.

Jack the car up so the suspension is on full hang , then try and rattle the spring, if there is any free play you will hear a clicking noise.

You have to take the whole suspension out.

I put one 4mm washer on the underside of the topmount. The suspension then pushes up on the washer. You with me?

Once you take the suspension out it should be more clear.

Any questions let us know

ok so i have to undo the bolt up the top on the strut tower, and the two bolts down below that are above the brakes in order for the shock absorber to come out?

Or the springs and shocks have to come out so the whole strut comes out which involves making sure that side of the car is suspended on a jack?

Thanks for your help Blue MK2

With the car on the ground you should undo the top bolt first.

Then jack the car up and undo the bottom 2 bolts near the brakes. The suspension should come out now with the top mount attached.

The top mount requires a special tool to undo the special bolt and an allen key is is also required.
