Gti clocks into a 1.3
« on: 12 December 2005, 10:36 »
Has anyone fitted a set of gti clocks including getting the rev counter working into a 1.3??

If you have what was needed, much wiring or just the clocks??

Cheers Tim

Will plug straight in & work, all you need to make sure of is you get the right type.  If your hazard switch is on the steering column you need single plug clocks, if its on the dash then you need 2 plug clocks.

If you get a GTi set you'll need to connect up a vacuum line, a outside temp sensor and an oil temp sensor if you want the MFA to be fully functional. If you get a GL set then you wont have to worry about them, you'll just have the digital clock.

I'd go for a set of GTI clocks anyway, easier to find for one thing!  If you don't hook up the MFA the digital display will just function as a digital clock :)
Then you have the option to wire in the MFA later if you're feeling flash ;)
