New to the Mk4
« on: 10 December 2005, 17:49 »
I currently have a civic type r and looking to get a mk4 1.8t for between the 4-5k mark.

I was wondering if there is any guides on what to look out for on these cars when you come to buy and what i should expect when buying for this sort of money.

Also once i have bought one I am looking at the APR chip, 18" rs6 wheels and some ICE, how hard is the ice to change and are the other 2 mods fairly easy to do.

Thanks for any help you can offer me.

apr chip -> they install it for you, easy. although you should look around at the other tuning companies too.

wheel change -> easy as pie.

ICE -> we have an ICE section here on the forum but there's nothing about a mk4 that makes it particularly difficult when installing new sounds.

as far as buying advice goes, try using the search function..  click advanced search and select the mk4 section.. use keywords like "buying advice" "common faults" etc.. there's a wealth of knowledge on here.
