anyone own a mk2 2.0 16v?

just wondering what you thought of your conversion and is there a real noticible difference? i have a 1.816v and was thinkin about gettin the conversion also wot sort of 0-60 times would i looking at

Yep i do, and when it works the smile doesn't come off my face. Will eat most things and sounds immense.

Lewy will tell you about when we convoy'd to E38, my gearbox was shagged but even he commented about it. 

0-60 not that much different, prob half a secs difference. 1/4 miles can reach the mid 14s on a good run.

wot do u mean when it works are they unrealiable or is your got a few things wrong also i have herd u say that urs is like 190bhp what mods have u done to reach that? and does a 20.16v stand a chance against a vr

If you go for a 9a you will notice a ell of a difference. My old one was rapid and was the nuts! Suprised most people in 'hot hatches'.  VR6's are no problem. Mine was 100% reliable.

what do u meen by (ell) im gonna get it done by design dubs if  get it so what is the difference in the engines matt said somethin abut short and long stroke? how come a 20.16v is faster than a 2.8? sorry new to this i had a lil 1.1 106 b4 my dub:P good petrol consumption:P

Ell - Hell sorry. I am not technical but it is (I can't explain). Forget about size as it really does'nt matter (excuse the pun). ie a G60 will out perform a 2.8 and theres a difference of 1000cc. Its all about what you can extract from the engine. www.g-stardubworld.co.uk know there stuff. If you want to do a conversion you best going to the Ace Cafe and having a look around and talk to people. Where do you live, I am nr Heathrow and go to the Ace Cafe when its on.

What exactly are you after with your conversion? ie what do you want from it and do you want to develope it at a later stage?

i want a daily driver with a bit of grunt really! my m8s got an audi tt 225 and i would love to wipe the smile off his face when he tries to pass me on the motorway! i want about 180-190bhp and was wondering what else i would have to do to the conversion to get them figures. dd are gonna do my conversion cos there closest and i have herd great things.
