Side repeaters
« on: 08 December 2005, 12:34 »
Ive decided i dont like my crystal clear side repeaters so wanna go for something different. I could just go for a set of smoked ones. Has anybody got any pics of different repeaters on a mk2? i.e aftermarket ones or different make/shape/size?

the problem i find with smoked ones is that unless its dark out you can hardly see them flashing, not sure if youve looked here but theres a good few examples of different colours http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw%20golfmk2/lighting.html

yeah seen all them before. I want something different though. The standards are just plain boring and ugly no matter what colour they are.

Here's the ones I'll hopefully be putting on my motor over the winter (smoked ones) I think they're a bit different.

youve given me ideas now... i went on ebay and bought these

I figured that if they dont fit(which they probebly wont) then i can saw away all the unwanted parts on the back and use some double sided sticky pads to hold it on,the outer lense is clear so they wont be dim anymore but the back is black so that they look smoked, plus a nice different shape, ive got to stop bodging my car with sticky pads tho...

anything with a curve on it looks outta place on a mk2 cause of its boxy lines. mine had smoked on it when i bought it and i just kept them on it!

Have a look at MTS ones, probably the best quality ones you can get:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/MTS-Individual-Car-Styling-GmbH_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm

Or their web page:
http://www.mts-carstyling.de

I really want a set of crystal BB indicators from them, but they cost a fair bit so arn't very high on my 'things to do' list :)
