That motor is looking seriously sweet for such an early mk2, definately look cool in silver.
It's just gagging for an old skool single headlamp grille though.

You got any pics of your dad's split ?

I had originally considered giving her a cal look, slam her, diamond cut the wheels, roof rack, keeping it very subtle.

two reasons for not doing it:

She is so mint & original it would be a crime to start changing her Wolfsberg fresh looks.....

And a got no money!!!

Just gonna keep her as close to stock as possible, gonna put it a couple of show 'n' shines in the summer.

Totally agree with you on keeping it standard, it would be a crime to molest such an original example. A single headlap grille off a lesser model with a chrome badge would look cool IMO, keeping the standard one in the shed of course so it can always be changed back.

I'm glad your keeping it simple, the cal look is best left on the Beetle and T2 in my opinion...

Ah that is such a clean mark 2, and for a car that is 20 ish years old! outstanding!

Mark 2's look so good in silver!

I think a few subtle mods maybe but only things that you can easily but back to normal, i.e a grill but it looks stunning as it is! so either way its gonna look quality

Cheers thought you would like it.

It would be nice to be able to meet with a few people but I guess we scattered all over the country.

Neaty, was you at Bug jam this year? I'm already starting to get the 6 month itch for Bug Jam, you gonna be there in July?

I've not been to Inters before, but mate keeps telling me to get my Golf up there, enter it in the Show 'n' Shine cos it will definately pick up a trophy. So I'll be there this year....

Cheers JettaTx, the car is so retro that I can even bring myself to swapping the tape plaer over to CD. Found some retro cassttes in the loft - Now 13,14, 15 etc.......couple of cool tunes bu tmainly sh!te!
