Sounds familiar to mine, but rear brakes locked onto the discs, sent me backwards, drivers side first into a crash barrier (at about 50ish mph), flipped it twice and slid back across the dual carriageway just stopping before a junction. Left hanging upside down in the car, windscreen was never recovered.....  :undecided: and ended up crawling out of the passenger window. One of the first cars with a crash shell on it, the mk2 was, think it saved my bacon.

Ohh you guys and your photos, sure know how to give new drivers confidence eh? :)

Im lucky, ive had no crashes yet.. but ive only had a few lessons - But in all but one lesson ive had near misses and none of them my fault i must add! But i suppose thats what u gotta expect when your learning to drive in the parts of manchester popular with joy riders and general idiots!.

I do have a few near miss stories for you though!

First one was my very first lesson, Just practicing pulling away and shifting through gears - driving along a quiet road (doing quite well i must add! perfect shifts ever y time.) and all of a sudden in the space of 5seconds 2 idiots on dirtbikes (Non road-legal i must add) came flying out of a wooded area, nearly hitting a woman pushing a pram, 2 parked cars, a car driving towards me and then me! not wanting to give up there though the guy on the back bike proceeded to drive into the back of the guy on the front bike who had to brake to avoid me. I guess i should of seen if they was ok.. but to be quite honest i didnt care! Im pretty sure anyone who drives like that wouldnt be missed greatly from the gene pool.

Second one was last week when the road was quite icy and covered in snow, driving down one of manchesters busier roads (The one that goes down the side of the park near manchester city stadium if anyone knows it) and i get to a blind bend, as im approaching it i see a large white truck going around the corner so i slowed my speed down to 20 just to give him enough time to get around, as he gets halfway around the corner some idiot in a punto comes flying around the side of him (Who the f**k overtakes a truck on a blind corner?! let alone when its icy!) of course he see's me coming towards him, panics and hits his brakes. Ends up blocking my side of the road with his ice fueled skid. Narrowly missed him... as you can tell Manchester has its fair share of darwin award winners.

The rest arnt worth boring you with, just old people pulling infront without indicating etc the usual annoyances. :)
