New bird on the block. . .
« on: 27 November 2005, 23:01 »
Hi guys and gals

Thought i would give a quick intro seeing as i am new here

My name is Lottie and i am in Oxfordshire, i have just purchased a 1986 Mark 2 1.8 GTI 8 valve in jade green i think lol, please forgive my ignorance but this is the first time i have owned a golf. It is in a a bit of a poor state body wise but mechanically it runs like a dream (which i found pretty impressive for a 19 year old car).

I brought as i needed a run around while i took my 205 1.9 GTI of the road  as that is going to be having a new engine fitted and i wanted something that was suitably on par with the 205. I have only had the golf for a couple of weeks and i have to be honest i am hooked lol, it is definitely a keeper and with a bit of TLC should be back to it's former glory.

Welcome to you Lottie!

You better not be putting an Mi 16 engine in that 205! Grrrrrrr!  (I have one!) (the car)

Forget the 205 and spend the money on the Golf! (even if it is a Mk2)

Oh and photos please!
