Fitting in!
« on: 04 November 2003, 03:09 »
Hey guys. Im 16( I live in the crazy state of California). Me and my parents are deciding which car to get me, and I'm really liking the GTI. I've been to the dealership, and I have seen many of them up close. There is only one problem. I'm about 6 feet 2 inches tall, or a little over 2 meters. Will I fit in the GTI? I didnt really check out the last GTI I sat in. Thanks for your feedback! By the way, I think it will be a 2001, 2002, or 2003 model.

If you buy cabriolet, you wont have that problem, ;), and with living in California, you get to have the roof down all the time  8)
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

You'll have no problem - I'm 6' 6" and I fit in my 3dr better than I ever did in my old Beemer 3 series (2dr). My legs don't foul the steering wheel and my head is not up against the roof lining - and I don't drive with a gangster lean!!

You must get a 3dr version as the seat runners go further back.

btw - you're not over two metres  :P

My dad is really after buying me a GTI because he remembers in the 70's( ::)) when he sped with a rabbit on the Autobahn. Volkswagen GTI's are VERY good cars from what i've heard, and they look great.
