Please donate unwanted parts generosy
« on: 26 November 2005, 23:12 »
To those who have read my last but one entry in the 'dub projects'...

As you know D144GYN is very poorly and in need of new engine management to make her into the beast she once was. This means we will need to part company for a few weeks. Meanwhile I am sourcing another car (obviously a mk2) to use while she is away on the mend. After a couple of texts to fellow south wales dubbers I was tipped off about a nice 8v for a mere £250 with MOT and TAX. Perfect. All I need to do now is insure her while mine is away.

The plan is not to spend a penny on this 'new' golf unless it's absolutely essential. Apparently the engine runs very well and it goes like a train according to the current owner. I shall be visiting him tomorrow to see this car and more than likely buy it.

Any donations of unwanted parts to make her more of the dub scene and not totally standard will be appreciated muchly. A nice set of lowering springs of greater than -60mm would be nice. I already have some niceish wheels on there.

Cheers my lovelys.
