Hi all ive just got my hands on a golf at last.mk4 1.8T Black, looks the absolute mutts imo. i'm already moddin ive got it dump valved an jetex filtered. the question is what wheels should i get to stop traffic?  i love the look of everything else as it is might just slam it over some wide rims and black the windows maybe get a de-baged grille or badboy bonnet extension. but anyways what wheels do u think? was thinkin bout

those tasty merc rims that were on the pvw car, porsche cup 3's,if i can get the funds together:- bbs rs , maybe even schmidt th2's or th lines.

like speedo said, depends on how much you want to spend and what your plannin for the rest of the car. anything bbs normally looks good and like you'v put, things like merc rims often stand out. Im lovin black wheels and polished rims on black cars at the mo. Just gettin the balls to spray my wheels on my mk3. If in doubt tho, post some pics of ur car and some of the possible wheels in the virtual mods bit of cosmetic matters and let the photoshop boys do the rest! can really help to see how it would look.

thats the best mk3 ive seen..ever! its just clean and subtle..

basically i wanna go a bit euro style and just be really clean and smooth without spending a mint on bodywork.

tbh im not overkeen on the lm's they look a bit japstyle to me?!?

i've got around a grand to spend on the wheels with no tyres already got some toyo proxes.

what size are the tyres u got? that makes a big difference. If u wana do the euro thing smaller wheels with streched tyres and a big drop is the way forward, probably some deep dished wheels that sit right at the edge of the arches.

yeah, i recon so. Its up to you now then, go round a few wheels shops and see what they can offer in that size. Id deffo look for something with a bit of a deep rim and thats a bit shiny! with the money u have to spend you should be able to get something a bit special!

Let us know what u go for tho mate!
