What oil for 1.8T

Just thought I would update this, was looking at VW receipts for servicing on my car and they use

10W/40 semi synthetic. So pretty basic stuff really. Mind you, they still charge stupid money £6.50 per litre. luckily i wasn't paying. My local Nationwide tyres does a semi synthetic (10/40) oil and filter change for £15!

i used mobil 1 fully synthetic 0w 40 they sell it for £23 at costco instead of £40 at halfords i only bought it cos it was cheap and it said its ok with turbos been ok so far
