And anyway they were built for driving not locking up. Best have em out on the road well maintained. I don't like the idea of nice golfs being hidden away like antiques; to be sold when the owner feels a bit skint or when the value goes up. Not our fault vw ignored the Biritish martket after we were so loyal in buying all the other GTI varients. I'm fine with producing a limited in whatever way I can.

If someone wants to lock away their Golf then thats really up to them. When (If??) my Golf ever returns it will be facing a life of dry summer days, and weeks on end in a dry garage under a dust cloth.
As for its value increasing - its going to take about 40 years for the value to ever get near what I've paid for it, and even then it'll never catch up the compound interest of the value I have invested in it.
